Many coffee producing countries has been challenging of coffee berry borer for a long time. The one factor of causing the CBB is of course global warming and climate change. However, there are so many factors that cause the spreading of this borer in larger amount quickly. ความไม่แน่นอนของภาวะสิ่งแวดล้อม และการเปลี่ยนแปลงของภูมิอากาศที่กระทบเกษตรกรผู้ปลูกกาแฟอย่างหลีกเลี่ยงไม่ได้ วันนี้เราได้มีโอกาสพบกับผู้ประกอบการทางการเกษตรรุ่นใหม่ของบ้านแม่จันใต้ หลายคนเห็นตรงกันว่าสภาวะเช่นนี้ ทำให้การเพาะปลูกและการเก็บเกี่ยวพืชผลยากมากขึ้น เช่นปีนี้มีฝนตกหลายวันติดต่อกันในช่วงฤดูการเก็บเกี่ยวกาแฟ ทำให้กาแฟเชอรี่ของเกษตรกรหลายท่านเสียหาย บวกกับบางพื้นที่ได้รับรายงานมาว่ามีลูกเห็บตกมาด้วย ยิ่งทำให้ต้องเร่งเก็บเกี่ยว แต่ก็ทำได้ยาก เนื่องจากแรงงานมีไม่พอ ภาวะโลกที่ร้อนขึ้น ทำให้หลายท่านเผชิญกับความไม่แน่นอนของการดูแลทั้งต้นกาแฟ ผลผลิต และคุณภาพที่จะได้ ในความไม่แน่นอนเช่นนี้ เราได้เห็นความตั้งใจของเกษตรกรรุ่นใหม่หลายคน ที่ไม่ได้ย่อท้อ และพยายามหาทางรอดที่ทุกฝ่ายได้รับผลประโยชน์ เช่นเดียวกับ ADER หรือน้องวิ ที่หลายท่านรู้จัก เป็นเกษตรกรรุ่น 2 ของครอบครัวที่ต้องการปรับจูนวิถีคนกาแฟรุ่นพ่อแม่ กับรุ่นของตัวเองให้มีความสมดุลมากขึ้น เราได้ติดตาม ADER ไปที่ไร่กาแฟของน้องที่อยู่ในเขตบ้านแม่จันใต้ อำเภอแม่สรวย จังหวัดเชียงราย น้องเล่าให้ฟังว่า เดิมทีพ่อแม่ปลูกผลไม้เมืองหนาว และผักตามฤดู แต่รายได้จากผลผลิตไม่พอต่อการเลี้ยงดูลูก ๆ ทำให้ต้องเพิ่มการปลูกกาแฟเมื่อราว 27 ปีที่แล้ว ทำให้พื้นที่ของไร่ ADER เป็นสวนผสมมากขึ้น สิ่งที่น้องได้แลกเปลี่ยนกับพ่อแม่คือ การปลูกกาแฟพันธุ์เดิม ๆ ซึ่งเอาเข้าจริง น้องบอกว่าง่ายต่อการดูแลมาก แต่น้องต้องการปลูกสายพันธุ์อื่น ๆ ที่ตัวเองชื่นชอบ เช่น เกชา ทิปปิก้า และอื่น ๆ ที่พี่ ๆ คนกาแฟนำมามอบให้ รอบนี้น้องพาเราไปชมจุดที่ปลูกกาแฟเกชา ต้นสายมาทางปานามา และเป็นปีที่สามเข้าสู่ปีที่สี่ เริ่มเห็นการเติบโตของต้นกาแฟชัดเจน เริ่มเห็นความแตกต่างของการแตกกิ่งก้านและใบ ทำให้เราตื่นเต้นมาก แต่สิ่งที่เรามองเห็นจากนัยน์ตาของน้องคือ การสร้างความสมดุลของสิ่งแวดล้อมให้ต้นกาแฟเหล่านี้ได้เติบโต ให้สิ่งแวดล้อมมีโอกาสได้ใช้ชีวิตในแบบของมัน ปลูกต้นไม้เพิ่มเติม เพื่อเป็นไม้ร่มเงาให้กับต้นกาแฟที่น้องรัก และมากกว่านั้นคือ การที่น้องต้องสร้างความสมดุลทางความคิดระหว่างรุ่นของพ่อแม่ กับตัวเอง เพราะหลาย ๆ ครั้งคนรุ่นใหม่ก็มีทางความคิดของตัวเอง และรุ่นพ่อแม่เองก็มีประสบการณ์ในแบบของเขาเช่นกัน  แต่เหนือสิ่งอื่นใด การได้เห็นคนรุ่นใหม่ไม่ย่อท้อต่อการสร้างการเปลี่ยนแปลงที่ดีต่อสังคม สิ่งแวดล้อม และสรรพสิ่ง ที่เกี่ยวเนื่องในการดำรงอยู่นั้น สำคัญยิ่งกว่าการได้กินกาแฟแพง ๆ เพียงลำพัง กาแฟของน้องอาเดอจะอร่อยแค่ไหน และจะไปไกลแค่ไหน เราคงต้องติดตามต่อไป แต่จากประสบการณ์ที่เราได้ลิ้มรส ADER Sunda Geisha จากสวนเดียวกันนี้แล้ว ยังตราตรึงลิ้นถึงวันนี้เลย
